Everything You Need to Know About Assembly – From Box to Skatepark

The Chilli Scooter comes eco-friendly packaged, usually with just two cardboard inserts and cable ties. Pay special attention when unboxing so you don’t lose any parts. Remove the cable ties and free the scooter from the packaging.

Step 2: Assemble the Scooter

1. Mount the handlebar:

  • Place the handlebar onto the fork and align it straight. Make sure the Chilli logo is facing forward and upright.
  • Screw on the clamp using the two Allen bolts. It’s best to tighten them with some pressure – but not too much, to avoid damaging the parts.
  • Ensure the clamp is mounted on the correct side – the front wheel of the fork should be visible from the front.

2. Tighten the compression system:

  • Tighten the compression bolt on the deck to compress the fork and the system. This ensures everything holds together firmly.

Step 3: Safety Test – Perform a Drop Test

Once the scooter is fully assembled, you should perform a drop test. Drop the scooter from a low height (around 10–20 cm) onto the ground and listen for any unusual sounds like rattling or cracking.
A properly assembled scooter should sound solid and quiet.

Step 4: Fixing Noise Issues

If you hear any noises after the drop test, they might come from the following areas:

1. Tighten the wheels:

Check the wheel axles. If there is any play in the wheels, simply tighten the axle bolts slightly to eliminate the noise.

2. Adjust the brake:

If the brake is loose, lift it up and check the two screws underneath. Tighten them using a size 3 Allen key.

3. Check the compression system:

If the handlebar becomes wobbly after a few jumps, slightly tighten the compression bolt to stabilize the system and eliminate the play.

4. Tighten the clamp:

Check if the clamp bolts are firmly tightened. If not, tighten them regularly to ensure safety.

Step 5: Regular Maintenance

It’s important to regularly check your Chilli Pro Scooter to ensure all parts are securely mounted and functioning properly. Here are some maintenance tips:

  • Wheels: Regularly tighten the axles to prevent play.
  • Brake: Make sure the brake is secure and working properly. Adjust if necessary.
  • Compression: Tighten the compression bolt if the handlebar becomes loose.
  • Clamp: Check the clamp and retighten it regularly to ensure a firm hold.

Conclusion: Keep Your Chilli Stunt Scooter in Top Shape

The Chilli Stunt Scooter is quick and easy to assemble. It’s important to make sure all bolts are tight after setup and that no noises occur.
If problems do arise, it’s usually a small adjustment to the brake, wheels, or compression system that can quickly fix the issue.
